this is a tape i put out about a year or so ago.  up for download/purchase.  i’m kinda broke so if you wanna help out i’d love ye. but no pressure, no doi.

Maryn Jones is someone whom I hold dear. She is also a very great songwriter. You should purchase this tape or at least take time and listen to it on the interweb or download it. I recorded some of the songs on it. OHIO.

maryn jones drew this in september 2010

Printing off some zines / chapbooks I haven’t had in physical form in a while (‘Kids: Poems From Walls Elementary’ Zine (pdf download), think tank for human beings in general, & Assuming Size) for the Boxcar Books 10 Year Anniversary Boxcar-Staff-Zine-Pack that will be in a raffle at the party.

Maryn Jones drew the above image for the cover of Assuming Size.

Boxcar Books 10 Year Anniversary Party will be held at Russian Recording in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday February 18th at 7PM!

At my other blog: THINGS I BOUGHT ON SAINTSENECA TOUR, a monetary account of a tour I recently went on with Saintseneca from August 14th to August 29th and an addendum of photos from the trip as well.

Being gone: Writing as reconstruction, memory as re-representing / atrophying mechanism, and the existence of multiple bodies coinciding at different velocities, accelerations, decelerations and identities in spaces* usually designated as houses

At my other blog, SIMPERING FOOL, I blogged to a massive extent, about a two week poetry tour I went on in April.

WOLFS, a band I am in with Amanda Bartley and Maryn Jones, recently went on a Midwestern tour, and released this tape in conjunction with it.

You can click through the cassette art above to download the six songs for free (zip file).

ALSO.

At my other blog, notes I took while on WOLFS tour.

Howl, baby.

WOLFS, a band I play keyboard and sing in with Maryn Jones and Amanda Bartley, released a demo of four songs a couple weeks ago at a show at Bat Chapters.  This is the last song on that demo and is titled Knowing How to End.

We will be performing at this year’s BEREA FEST on Saturday July 16th, and will be on a tour of the Midwest from July 23rd-July 30th.

WOLFS, a band I am in with Maryn Jones & Amanda Bartley, started recording a demo last night.  Here is a little taste of what we made.

POETRY TOUR

Fellow poet and friend MATT WHISPERS and MYSELF will be embarking on a poetry tour in about one month, from April 16th-April 30th.

We’re going to be reading poems and connecting our lives with other lives at places that are typically called HOUSES, COFFEE SHOPS, ART SPACES, SPACES, INFOSHOPS, ZINE LIBRARIES, and UNIVERSITIES.

We’re doing this thang DIY styleeee.

ANDY GARDNER is driving us in his un-muffled, recalcitrantly red Ford Contour.

MARYN JONES is (probably) making the trip, too.

JAMES PAYNE is reading at the first four dates with us.
